Overall, how was your experience of our service?
The NHS friends and family test (FFT) is an important opportunity for you to provide feedback on the services that provide your care and treatment. Your feedback will help NHS England to improve services for everyone.
It was introduced in 2013 and asks patients about their overall experience of the services they have used. This means every patient is able to give quick feedback on the quality of the care they receive, giving hospitals a better understanding of the needs of their patients and enabling improvements.

Best hospital practice I’ve been to for a while wasn’t in my seat longer than 10 seconds, nurse on shift conducting everything was very likeable and made me feel less anxious, the Dr was very calming and professional taking extra time to explain a few things for me which I asked. My time at Probus Surgical Centre for cataract surgery went very well from start to finish. Everyone who I met along with the surgeon were very helpful and at all times explained exactly what would be happening. Most notable was the cross checks made by different members of the staff regarding the treatment expected. Immediately before the operation I was again asked for my full name, date of birth and in my case which eye. So all round, a very careful and professional system throughout my visit. Thanks. P.S eye is just fine.
Helpful, timely and informative throughout cataract procedure
Everyone in PROBUS are genuinely caring for their patients and they say it as it is. I would certainly urge patients to go to PROBUS if they get a choice, I have been there many times for my eyes, and the welcome from the reception through to Consultants puts you at ease - nothing is too much trouble. Top marks PROBUS.

From the moment I arrived for my appointment I was handled with professionalism, warmth and care. I felt in safe hands from the get go. I was treated with kindness and respect in a scrupulously clean medical setting and attended to by a highly experienced medical team. My surgery went through without incident and I was reassured by the surgeon that all was well. I was given thorough instructions on what to expect and contact details should I need to follow up support. I was quite honestly astounded by the faultless service and care. By far the best hospital I have been to. I was seen before my appointment time on both visits. My first appointment I was back in my car driving home 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The second visit 30 minutes after, and during that time I had an operation… Great staff, no messing around. In and out

Kind, informative and friendly, would recommend. The only negative was we parked and walked to the far surgical part at the bottom of the car park, we didn’t realise we had to check in at the actual probus surgery, not really a moan, but could have been clearer on the letter.

I recently had my 2nd cataract operation at Probus Surgical Centre and the care and treatment I received from the administration staff, the nurses before, during and after the operation, and the surgeon Mr Badie George were absolutely superb and of the highest order. They were very kind, reassuring, efficient and highly competent and an example of best practice in the NHS and I cannot thank them enough. What a wonderful job they are doing in improving the gift of sight for so many people each day. After 64 years I no longer need to wear my spectacles.

Everyone I met was friendly, professional and made me feel at my ease. I was informed at every step of my procedure. Including the information I went home with. Which I referenced regularly as my eye healed and was reassured. One small point, could the eye shield have been in a tint? Having had my pupil dilated the sun outside was painfully bright. I didn't want to remove the shield to put on sun glasses. Just a thought.
